ID#0359 - In-House, corporate. Manage outside counsel regarding patent prosecution, thus a solid foundation (at least 4 years) in patent claim drafting and prosecution is important. Full-time agent experience acquired while attending law school nights will count, but you'll probably need at least 2 years post JD. Work closely with upper management and engineering to develop and implement global portfolio strategies pertaining to in/out licensing, portfolio acquisitions, enforcement, domestic and foreign filing. Make continuous patentability, right-to-use, and infringement assessments. Must be a strong EE and capable of understanding complex digital and analog circuits pertaining to a broad range of device applications.

A suitable candidate will have a history of employment stability, Patent Bar (USPTO), and State Bar.

Technical background: B.S. or higher in electrical / electronics engineering absolutely required. Prior electrical engineering experienced would be valued. Some in-house experience would be preferred, but not required. Fluency in Japanese would be a strong plus.
