Full-time. Hours are 8a-4:30p with rotating call.

The Patient Access Manager for Representatives leads the successful transition of specific registration processes to help ensure the continuous improvement of business processes to be best practice, meet agreed service levels and excel in process efficiency and effectiveness within multiple Sanford Health Departments. Key responsibilities assigned to this position will include, but will not be limited to: Management of projects ranging in duration from 100 days to two years, management of projects and teams involved in research of existing operations, procedures, workflow, and service requirements within Patient Access Management, direction of analysis of assembled data to define problems and development areas which may include cost benefit analysis and studies on scope of the project, accuracy audit statistics, electronic eligibility results, and process improvement related to the aforementioned. Ensures projects are completed accurately and within the established time lines. Accountable for the adherence to established project deadlines and budgetary limitations. Lead registration process improvement and change to achieve operational excellence. Excellent understanding of ADT issues and 'span of control' in the registration areas. Strong management skills and assertive, visible leadership style. Responsible for management oversight of Patient Access Joint Commission compliance. Prepares new policies and protocols.

Has the following responsibility: assures accurate and timely data submissions, collects and compiles data, assessment of accuracy and validity of data and displays useful and timely reporting and interpretation of data for individual and department training. Highly accountable for attainment of department and section goals by distributing work in areas of responsibilities in order to achieve desired goals. Emphasizes accuracy, productivity and completion of work within established time frames. Orients, trains, schedules, evaluates, and provides ongoing continuing education for areas of responsibility. Plans and implements new processes and makes recommendations. Follows up on missing information provided by quality audits. Works with Director to address staffing issues, service excellence and employee satisfaction issues. Maintains appropriate staffing levels. Analyzes and modifies workflows to achieve desired outcomes and maximizes efficiencies. Accepts responsibility for special projects assigned by the Director on an as needed basis. Assist deaprtment management team with procedural changes related to work flows and ADT modules. Provide call coverage on a rotating basis. Serves as a role model for Patient Access Management staff in professionalism, attitude, knowledge, demeanor and execution of duties. Required to use problem solving and decision making skills in various situations.

Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional team(s) in issue resolution, process improvement, and change management. Extensive knowledge of health care related practices, concepts, regulatory and legal requirements. Management skills to include planning, organizing, and directing the implementation of large-scale projects. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to manage diverse teams of individuals from multiple departments during the management of projects and strategic initiatives. Extensive understanding of Patient Access Management department workflow and end user needs. Skillful at managing change. Assists in defining, developing, and implementing learning plans which are imperative to the achievement of strategic initiatives. Effective and efficient meeting management skills. Must be able to facilitate change and communicate effectively to achieve organizational/departmental goals. Strong quality assurance and critical thinking skills are necessary for success in this role. Contagious positive attitude. Logical thinking and the ability to acquire an intricate knowledge of modules. Well organized with the ability to direct and motivate staff. Flexibility, creativity and a willingness to implement new ideas. Outstanding professionalism, poise and tact. Analytical thinking and excellent mathematical skills.

When students are providing patient care, treatment, and/or services as a part of their training, any/all employees may be asked to supervise the students.

Required Skills
