Supervises and evaluates performance of Centralized Scheduling and Patient Access. Provides project management and coordinates development of enterprise scheduling system and reviews activities across the organization to ensure maximum benefits and enhancements are achieved. Responsible for maintaining the department staffing levels and coordinates the training and continuing education for the staff. The Patient Access Supervisor is a working supervisor and is knowledgeable of the scheduling processes. They will ensure that accurate patient information is collected and everyone is informed of hospital policies and procedures. The Supervisor will participate with call and be available for departmental coverage.
2 Year / Associate Degree
4 Year / Bachelors Degree - Preferred
1 - 3 Years - Preferred
Supervisory experience in a healthcare setting and the ability to train and educate staff in all areas of their position - Preferred
Previous Healthcare Experience - Preferred
Working knowledge of medical terminology and clinical background to ensure that patients are scheduled for appropriate tests and procedures.
Management Experience - Supervising hourly employees
Organizational, Verbal Communication, Microsoft Office, Grammar/Spelling, Ability to Multi Task and Prioritize
Operate Office Equipment, Medical Terminology, Customer Relations, Conflict management & assessment skills
Technical knowledge in maintaining system software - preferred
