Customer Service - Ensures that all patient inquiries, concerns and grievances are addressed and resolved.
Initiates and receives calls on patient accounts in accordance with established procedures. Interprets and explains to patients and their families charges for services and hospital policy regarding patient payment arrangements. Participates in educational seminars and in-service meetings. Complies with established department policies, procedures, objectives, and remains current on all changes requested by management. This position requires the ability to investigate and resolve issues using critical thinking skills and to communicate in a manner that builds confidence in our organization. Demonstrates on a daily basis a personal commitment to excellent Customer Service. Contributes to the Patient Experience by providing prompt service, respectful communication, and resolving customer issues appropriately. Must demonstrate the ability to perform all duties with minimal supervision and within Memorial Hospital's Standards of Performance.
Minimum Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Minimum Experience:
At least 1 Year direct experience in administrative customer service in a
healthcare environment.
Skills: Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
