General Statement of Duties
This position is responsible for handling incoming calls in a timely and professional manner and providing superior customer service for all billing inquiries and issues.
Essential Job Functions
Answers all incoming inquiries accurately and timely in order to provide courteous and efficient service. Maintains company standard ASA and published abandon rates.
Documents all phone activity on the system on all accounts handled at all times including incoming and outgoing phone calls in a clear manner to ensure that inquiries necessitating corrective action or additional action are handled effectively and expediently.
Access billing software and maneuver through screens effectively and efficiently.
Completes customer service action forms accurately and timely as appropriate by end of business day.
Follow internal HIPAA guidelines when appropriate.
Minimum Education and Experience
High School Graduate (or GED) required.
A minimum of two years experience in radiology and/or a health care call center setting is preferred.
Working knowledge of medical terminology, CPT and ICD 9 coding, health insurance and government programs, computer and data entry skills is desirable.
Minimum License and Certificates Required
