Minimum Education Requirement: High School Graduate or equivalent.
Minimum Licensure/Certification Requirement: Official transcript upon hire if applicant does not have twelve (12) consecutive months of customer service.
Minimum Work Experience Requirement: Minimum of twelve (12) consecutive months in a position providing customer service OR current enrollment in an accredited school of nursing and completion of one (1) semester of clinicals.
Preferred Work Experience: Patient care experience in a long term care, hospital or home based setting.
WORK SCHEDULE: Full Time Day Shift. 7am to 7:30pm. Holiday coverage may be required. Must be able to flex shifts depending on department needs. Required to attend mandatory department meetings as scheduled by department manager.
May include frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, prolonged periods of walking, and lifting of equipment and/or patients up to 50 pounds (lifting of patient may include assistance from team members or lift devices). Ability to operate therapeutic equipment.
Under the direct supervision of an RN provides patient care within the identified nursing care deliver model. Assists with patient activities of daily living. Assists with implementation of plan of care. Maintains accurate documentation in accordance with hospital policies and procedures. Assists in the mobilization, ambulation, and transport of patients. May also transport supplies, medications, and/or specimens. Communicates changes in patient status and patient reports of discomfort. May be responsible for providing environmental services support.
