GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
Completes the patient admission process by processing all information provided by the referring facility through the patient intake process to ensure timely and accurate claims submission for all assigned dialysis centers within a geographic region in accordance with company policies and in compliance with federal and state billing regulations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:
The following duties and responsibilities generally reflect the expectations of this position but are not intended to be all inclusive.

May be required to accomplish any or all of the following:
Communicate with patients, case managers, social workers and facility teammates regarding patient placement

Request, receive and forward required documentation for accepting new patients for treatment

Verify applicable insurances with payors including patient eligibility and all associated benefits related to outpatient kidney dialysis

Update all Patient Registration and associated systems accurately and as required with information received during the review process

Follow up to ensure all insurance changes are verified and line of coverage is reset as required

Complete all ancillary reports and assigned projects within established timeframes

Work closely with assigned facilities to determine treatment capacity and to obtain required patient information to accurately document patients' insurance

Provide support to Patient Account Representatives and other ROPS teammates as requested

Know, understand and follow DaVita Teammate guidelines and safety and security policies and procedures

Ability to work overtime as necessitated by work volume

Consistent, regular, punctual attendance as scheduled is an essential responsibility of this position

Other duties or special projects as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

(Education, licenses, certifications, and experience required to fulfill the essential duties, include computer skills as required):

High school diploma or equivalent required

1-2 years' healthcare reimbursement experience, working specifically with admissions, billing and collections preferred

Basic proficiency in MS Office: Excel, Word required
