The Facebook Payment Operations team ensures, monitors, and reports on all money moving into Facebook while providing high quality customer payment support. As part of the Online Operations organization, we work cross-functionally with the Product and Engineering teams to design tools and systems to serve our hundreds of millions of users and our ever-growing base of advertisers. We also work to ensure that customers have a positive user experience when paying for Facebook Ads or Facebook Credits by providing direct customer support. Successful candidates for this job are self-motivated, flexible to constant changes and are problem-solvers who think creatively and propose solutions. This is a 6 - 12 month contract position, and weekend availability is required (one, eight hour weekend day of work). Beyond the 8-hour weekend commitment, up to 32 hours of weekday work is available. This position is located in our Austin, Texas office.
  • Respond to contacts from users and advertisers regarding a variety of payment or billing issues
  • Gather and synthesize relevant data, suggesting improvements in the tools and techniques to help scale the team
  • BA/BS degree or in-progress
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Avid Facebook user
  • Ability to work collaboratively
  • Strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills
  • Experience with payments, billing, or charge-backs a plus
  • Experience in a fast-paced start-up environment a plus
  • Fluency in a foreign language a plus
