THIS IS A TEMPORARY ASSIGNMENT
Perform payroll functions and calculations; process and generate payroll accurately and efficiently, meeting mandatory deadlines.
Review all payroll data (new hires, salary changes, separations, etc) entered into payroll system from HR to maintain accuracy and to ensure compliance with federal regulations.
Review ADP HRIS Modules for system issues and functionality and provide technical expertise on recommendations for improvements to ADP HRIS effectiveness and efficiency.
Process garnishments, child support and other liens as required.
Classify and disburse payroll checks; organize, interpret and reproduce reports for communication.
Advise organization on payroll policies and practices.
Administer Biotest’s Paid Time Off Program, Leave of Absence Program.
Administer Workers’ Compensation Program
Research and implement withholding in payroll system for any local/user fees & taxes that affect Biotest locations.
Provide information and reports from the ADP Payroll System or other external payroll processing organization using various reporting tools on an as needed basis for other departments and create reports for intra-departmental use as well. Responsible for year-end procedures including reports, pay data adjustments and W-2 accuracy and distribution.
Assure completion of special projects as requested from management, internal departments and outside sources.
Responsible for maintaining accuracy of biweekly General Ledger Interface coming from ADP or an outsourced payroll provider to SAP finance modules.
Respond directly to Federal & State agencies regarding Income Tax Withholding, Unemployment and other tax issues or statistical questionnaires.
Research and analyze information for employment verification.
Coordinate year-end procedural tasks (off-site record storage, W-2 information, etc.).
Bachelor’s degree in a related field required. CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) certification preferred.
7 - 10 years payroll administration (hands-on) experience with various ADP modules in multi-state organizations.
Intermediate to expert Excel skills as well as intermediate experience with all other Microsoft Office products.
SAP experience highly desirable.
Demonstrated financial acumen skill and analytical thinking competency is required as is attention to detail.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-state and global organization.
Excellent customer service and communication (verbal and written) skills.
