The Federal Home Loan Bank of Indianapolis’ Human Resources Department has an excellent job opportunity for a Payroll/Benefits Specialist. This position will ensure accurate processing and recording of the Bank’s payroll. Additional responsibilities include maintaining salary, benefit and employee information on the HRIS to provide reports for management and benefit providers; monthly audit of benefit plan billings and premium payments to providers; assist with benefit plan compliance testing; ADP payroll and benefits data entry; and, records management.

Position requires five to seven years' experience in payroll ADP and Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) a plus; working knowledge of basic accounting principles, payroll taxes and government payroll regulations; good math reasoning ability; proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word; and, the ability to maintain confidentiality. Preferred, but not required, are a degree and previous working knowledge of employee benefit plans and regulatory issues.

You must have excellent organization skills, be detail-oriented and have the ability to perform multiple, diverse tasks under pressure and meet deadlines. The position requires overtime as needed.

The successful candidate will be expected to deliver quality work on a consistent basis. You will be working in a steady environment within established standards, guidelines and procedures.
