DESCRIPTION
As the Payroll/HR Coordinator you will be responsible for thoroughly executing five bi-weekly payrolls for our family of companies (ETA hand2mind, Learning Resources, Educational Insights, Daigger, Heathrow Scientific, and CPW). It is essential you have prior knowledge and experience with ADP online; both in payroll processing and preferably HR-B. You will work closely with our HR Generalist who will assist you in the preparation and weekly routines for payroll processing. You will oversee and assist all employees with tax, direct deposit and pay stub related questions and/or changes. You will also be in charge of payroll reporting as well as leading the HR team through any regular audits. This position will also support our HR team as necessary with daily HR functions which includes but is not limited to; 401k updates, employee data maintenance in ADP, benefit updates or changes, new hire data entry, HR Help Desk assistance and/or employment verifications. This position will partner closely with the Human Resources team to champion change and excellence among all six of our businesses. We are looking for someone with 7-10 years prior payroll experience; leadership experience is also plus. The ideal candidate would also have some past experience (preferably 2-3 years) working in a HR Generalist capacity as well. While training will certainly be provided, this person must come with a thorough understanding of payroll reporting and processing through ADP.

Scope and Core Responsibilities:
  • This role has direct accountability for bi-weekly payroll processing of all five complete payrolls using ADP online.
  • This individual will assist with regular audits and up-keep of ADP ezlabor to ensure timely execution of all necessary changes and approvals.
  • They will be in charge of researching any tax or payroll related questions from employees and/or leadership.
  • This person will work closely with our HR Generalist to ensure all data in ADP and employee files are current, up to date, and accurate.
  • The Payroll/HR Coordinator will be in charge of all payroll reporting requests and regularly auditing payroll processes for accuracy and best practices.
  • They will be in charge of reconciliation, processing, and timely distribution of all W-2's.
  • This role will partner closely with HR team on any benefit changes, routine audits, and/or deduction changes or questions.
  • This person must stay at the forefront of wage and hour laws, and any legal updates that might impact our overall regulatory compliance of payroll processing.
  • The Payroll/HR Coordinator will also help assist our HR team during non-payroll weeks with daily routines which might include; 401k processing and reconciliation, HR reporting and auditing, employment or wage verifications, employment file maintenance, new hire processing in to ADP, and/or benefits updates.
  • This person must possess strong leadership qualities, be familiar with ADP, work well both independently and on a team and be excited about having sole accountability for payroll processing.
Other duties for this role will be assigned by our Director of HR - ER, Payroll, and Benefits.

Experience and Skill Sets Required for the Role:
  • Bachelor's Degree required; preferably in the field of Human Resources, Psychology or OD.
  • 7-10 year prior payroll experience required.
  • 1-3 years prior HR Generalist experience required.
  • 2-4 years experience required working in ADP payroll and preferably HR-B as well.
  • Must possess a strong knowledge of wage and hour laws, and regulatory compliance.
  • This individual must be extremely detailed and organized.
  • Prior leadership experience is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills; both written and oral.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Must exhibit a sense of urgency in all work and assignments.
  • A team player looking to grow and develop in the field of HR and Payroll.
  • Proficiency in ADP online, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
