The Payroll Manager, Finance, Symphony is responsible for the Payroll function and related areas as well as participation in other Finance areas.

Under the direction of the VP, Finance, Symphony, this individual will oversee the activities that result in a solid business design of harmonized processes and deployment plans within the applicable functional area in accordance with best practice standards. These activities also include the testing and deployment of this business design.

The incumbent ensures that the systems, services, and programs within his/her scope of responsibility meet Ascension Health’s specifications and quality and service standards and that project initiatives meet all local, state, and federal statutory and legal requirements.

Responsibilities:
The Payroll Manager, Finance, Symphony will oversee and accomplish the business process design activities and implement process improvements driven by business value; consult and collaborate with Stakeholders; advocate and follows best practice process adoption, suggest opportunities to improve operations within scope, leading to business process harmonization and comply with project methodology and associated procedures.

The incumbent will prepare and submit detailed work plans for approval by the VP, Finance, Symphony; test as necessary, remediate issues, assist in the deployment of the design, escalate issues as needed; work closely with the VP, Finance, Symphony for support and direction as necessary; monitor task assignments to ensure they are performed on schedule, within intended scope and to a defined level of quality and report progress to the VP, Finance, Symphony.

This associate will also staff, manage and motivate assigned team members and assign work packages to staff and coordinate activities with the VP, Finance, Symphony and the PMO in order to assure consistency & optimization of overall work product.

All commuting will be paid in accordance to Ascension Health's policy (relocation is not expected). Monday through Thursday work schedule will be on-site in St. Louis and working from home on Friday.

The associate in this position will show:

Experience in deployment of a large scale ERP system
Prior project experience required
Flexible and open to change
Solid understanding of PeopleSoft functionality preferred
Shared Service Center experience preferred
Proficient in WORD, EXCEL, POWERPOINT, and VISIO

Must possess a strong working experience in:

Electronic Payments
Business Analytics
Master Data Management
