Pediatric Critical Care Medicine

Akron Children’s Hospital has an opportunity for a Pediatric Intensivist to join a dedicated team of 8 board certified pediatric intensivists who are committed to providing quality patient care, research and education. The candidate we seek will be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine. Ideal applicants will have a strong interest in teaching, patient care, performance improvement and clinical research as well as experience with cardiothoracic patients and patients on ECMO.

The PICU is a 23 bed multidisciplinary unit with approximately 1500 admissions annually. The PICU supports an active cardiothoracic surgical program and the hospital is an American College of Surgeons certified pediatric trauma center. The pediatric intensivists also serve as the medical control physician for our busy transport service. Akron Children’s is affiliated with Northeast Ohio Medical University (NEOMED). Appointment to the faculty at the appropriate level will be recommended and fully supported.
