Performance Analysts perform performance/capacity support functions, such as reporting, utilization pattern analysis, and simple forecasting. They collect system and application data to support the planning and monitoring processes. They compare the current state of performance against established SLAs. They characterize utilization patterns (hourly, daily, quarterly, annually). They create baseline forecasts, determine any anomalies, and augment based on seasonality. They report specific data for specific problems as directed. Performance Analysts create management and metrics reports and review exception reports for trends. They assist more experienced members in determining RFP hardware requirements. Performance Analysts demonstrate basic skills with moderate level of proficiency. They perform standard assignments and apply existing policies or procedures to solve problems or issues. They receive instruction, guidance, and direction from others and consult with senior peers on non-complex projects to learn through experience. |
