Reporting to the Director of Employee and Organizational Development the Performance Consultant partners with management for the purposes of identifying and developing performance improvement initiatives that address organizational needs. Works with managers and directors to identify staff competencies and creates interventions to develop them. Designs, develops and facilitates training programs to improve staff performance. Develops training support tools such as computer based training as necessary. Responsible for the design, development and implementation of leadership development programs. Facilitates large-scale change initiatives as necessary. Bachelor of Science/Bachelor of Arts required. U nderstanding of human behavior and business management. Ability to assess the needs of a department and create programs that meets those needs. Ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels in the organization. Extensive knowledge of Performance Improvement principles and methods. Training and team facilitation experience preferred. Knowledge of adult learning principles, general learning theory, computer technology and applications. D emonstrated presentation/platform skills. Previous experience in the use of Windows, word-processing and spreadsheet applications preferred.
