Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Develop reusable scripts to transform data into a formatted output.
  • Design and develop solutions for three-tiered web applications.
  • Implement software design changes quickly and efficiently.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues potentially including: Unix/Linux Operating Systems, Data - -- Synchronization, Data Integrity, Application Server Technologies, SAS processes, Browser Compatibility and third-party software.
  • Assist other developers and other groups in identifying and correcting issues with data and/or programs.
  • Occasionally work evenings and weekends so that deadlines are met.
Join a rotation of staff that provides 24-hour support for urgent production issues up to 50% of the month.

The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

  • A minimum of 5 to 7+ years’ experience in object-oriented application development.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in application development with object-oriented methodology.
  • Intermediate level Unix/Linux ability.
  • Perl/Unix Shell scripting experience is highly desirable.
  • Experience working on a team of developers, adhering to coding and design standards.
  • SQL programming experience.
  • Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) background.
  • Exposure to source control systems and familiarity with good development methodologies.
  • Ability to learn unknown languages and technologies quickly.
  • Ability to identify opportunities to maximize efficiency.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate with development teams as well as technical and non-technical coworkers.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
