Personal Assistant position available – Atherton California

Seeking an experienced, professional Personal Assistant for a home office in the Atherton area -

This position is based in a residential home office environment in Atherton. Hours are Monday through Friday, approximately 30 to 40 hours per week. Occasional evening and weekends to be scheduled in advance on as needed basis. This position will involve both personal and non-profit business responsibilities.

Looking for a candidate who is very flexible, hands-on, and great at multi-tasking--someone who is willing to make things happen. This candidate should posses a professional and polished demeanor and be able to work unsupervised and communicate well with a busy home-based professional.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Manage household and personal calendars, including scheduling personal appointments, meetings, and international and domestic travel details and itineraries

Work with employer on projects including PowerPoint presentations

Draft correspondence, e-mails, and manage contact lists

Screen phone calls and distribute mail

Maintain the home office files, paperwork and supplies

Online research for projects

Prior experience managing household and personal business affairs

Organize for guest visits

Plan, organize and execute small dinner parties and events as needed

Errands (both personal or business-related) including shopping, and online purchases/returns

Some driving for family members

Ability to anticipate needs, work independently, and complete tasks with minimal to no supervision

Must be very organized and have the ability to prioritize projects and multi-task

Able to interact with other household employees in home and in other countries

Possess professional demeanor when representing family to guests, friends, vendors, neighbors and other household staff

Strong attention to detail

Have the ability to respond promptly and effectively and in a friendly, professional manner

Ability to show good judgment in the absence of clear instructions

Impeccable references required, particularly with respect to confidentiality, loyalty, and discretion

Meet with repair, service, maintenance, and delivery people

About You:
College graduate or currently attenting college

Minimum of five years of Personal Assistant experience

Internet/computer savvy (proficient with MAC & PC)

In depth knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite - Calendar, PowerPoint, Word, Excel

Fluent in English (Spanish and French languages a plus)

Strong communication (written and verbal) with strong interpersonal skills

Loyal, committed, and down-to-earth

Organized, resourceful, and professional

Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality

Confidentiality agreement and background check will be required

Valid California driver’s license and clean driving record required

Able to work legally in the United States
