This full time position is located at 1837 Victory Boulevard, Staten Island, NY 10314

Job Duties

Manages customer portfolios and cross-sells Sovereigns products & services including annuities, investments and insurance products

Actively engages in customer outreach efforts focused on managing a weekly lead list. Leverages other lead sources to supplement weekly outreach efforts

Reviews customer information to pro-actively recommend and sell products or services to the customer and responds to all customer inquiries and concerns to create positive solutions

Conducts customer appointments and engages in customer conversations following a prescribed sales process designed to effectively uncover customer needs and provide relevant customer solutions

Creates solution opportunities through outbound calls and in-branch meetings. Processes customer loan/credit line requests, and actively seeks qualified referrals from all customers

Provides consumer loan solutions for customers from origination through closing

Develops and maintains relationships with business partners to increase cross-sell opportunities and achieve sales goals

Develops and maintains relationship with in-branch partners and key external business partners an to increase cross-sell opportunities and achieve sales goals

Manages the account opening process with minimal errors and is comfortable with cash handling transactions (if applicable)

Provides deposit account solutions through effective implementation of the new account opening process. Completes basic cash handling transactions when necessary

Handles daily account maintenance and other service issues as necessary

Promptly responds to and anticipates customer requests by providing ongoing deposit account maintenance and overall relationship servicing

Qualifications

HS Graduate or Equivalent

3+ years in Retail sales and/or customer service experience.

Series 6 & 63, Life and Health

Excellent verbal communication and influence skills

High impact to effectively engage customers

Experience conducting consultative conversations in person and on the phone with proven close rates. Strategic planning skills and ability to build successful sales plans

Significant experience building strong relationships with the ability to generate new business by outbound calling, customer referrals and community involvement

Skilled in optimizing sales opportunities to existing and walk-in customers

Skilled in uncovering customer needs and providing relevant customer solutions in proactive and reactive scenarios

Strong financial and business acumen

Duties are performed in an office environment. Physical demands could involve any or all of the following: digital dexterity and hand/eye coordination in the operation of office equipment; light to moderate lifting (10-20 lbs.) and carrying of supplies, files, etc; the ability to speak to and hear customers and/or other employees both telephone calling and in person; and body motor skills sufficient to enable the incumbent to move from one office location to another.
