MD On-Line is currently looking to fill virtual pharmaceutical sales representative positions in its Parsippany, NJ office. The motivated individual who secures this position will be contracted through MD On-Line, but will act as an extension of the pharmaceutical client’s sales team, including completing the full sales training program provided by that company. In this unique position, the sales representative will be responsible for scheduling and executing virtual sales calls with healthcare providers using MD On-Line’s patent-pending technology and equipment. This position offers a base salary and full benefits package with additional commission opportunities based on high-quality performance.


  • Completes required sales training course provided by MD On-line’s pharmaceutical client
  • Demonstrates complete understanding of the key messages of client’s products/brands, including disease awareness, efficacy, uses, dosages, and side effects, and is able to communicate this and other relevant information in a clear and concise way that helps to drive prescriptions
  • Secure details with relevant HCPs based upon a target list provided by the pharmaceutical client to MD On-Line
  • Keeps clear and up-to-date records of all scheduled calls and communicates this information to appropriate team members; prepares for supervisor’s review of all necessary reports and correspondence documenting program progress
  • Walks targets through set up process of device prior to beginning virtual detail to ensure all equipment is set up appropriately to view and hear the detail
  • Executes virtual details with individuals or groups that effectively communicate the key product messages
  • Meets or exceeds key performance indicators and sales objectives set forth by MD On-Line and client
  • Strives to continuously improve selling skills
  • Interacts professionally within MD On-Line, with clients and healthcare providers, including clear communication to appropriate team members and external contacts while arranging and executing sales calls


  • Education- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience/training
  • Sales experience- 3+ years pharmaceutical experience preferred in either oncology/hepatitis/specialty
  • Excellent time management skills and desire to meet personal, company, and client goals
  • Superior oral communication skills
  • Comfort with up-to-date, evolving technology; excellent computer skills and ability to learn new software relevant to program
  • Ability to maintain flexibility within a dynamic work environment
