The primary purpose of this position is to be an active member of the health care team supporting physicians and staff in providing care to patients. The Pharmacist will assist with patient education, counseling, consultation, and therapy consultation.
Required abilities include the ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision and to work cooperatively with hospital and pharmacy staff. The ability to set priorities, make critical decisions and respond quickly to emergency requests is required as is the ability to exercise sound professional judgment and to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Skill in meeting the pharmaceutical care needs of psychiatric, chemically dependent, medical surgical patients is required.
- Graduation from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy with a BS in Pharmacy
- Must be licensed to practice Pharmacy in the State of Arizona
