The Pharmacist Facilitator will be engaged and work with our leadership team on the expansion clinical practice in our critical care service lines. In addition, you will teach, coach and mentor residents and students from a number of regional pharmacy schools. In this role you will assist in the provision of continuing education and the training of clinical staff pharmacists. In addition, you will responsible for c oordinating staff development of the pharmacy department personnel, investigational drug services, drug information services, resident program, and clinical pharmacy services provided throughout the institution. The Facilitator reports directly to Pharmacy Operations Manager.

Our pharmacists are decentralized and they staff many different departments and service lines throughout the hospital. The electronic medical records system is Meditech. In addition, the pharmacy is using Pyxis MedStations and the main pharmacy has a C2 safe in order to store and track our controlled substances. Also, we have a Baxa compounding pump in our IV room. In addition, we offer a PGY1 Pharmacy Practice residency as well as a PGY2 Infectious Diseases residency program.

Qualified candidates must be a graduate of an ACPE accredited College of Pharmacy with experience in hospital pharmacy practice. The completion of a PGY2 residency program is strongly preferred. You must be licensed or eligible for pharmacist licensure in Illinois. In addition, viable candidates will possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
