prepare medications to be dispensed under the direct supervision of a
registered pharmacist according to State and Federal law.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Processes medication orders and dispense medications under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to ensure safe and appropriate provision of medications to patients.Distributes medications and picks up orders in a timely manner to ensure prompt service to the patient.
Prepares and compounds all oral/ liquid unit dose medication using proper techniques to ensure safe products for patients under the direct supervision of a pharmacist.
Maintains adequate supplies of all stock items in a clean and organized environment.
Completes and maintains pharmacy records.
Maintains individual competence and develops professional practice skills.
Precepts new and existing staff members on oral/liquid unit dose techniques and responsibilities.
Performs other responsibilities as required.
Prioritizes and processes medication orders and dispenses medications under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to ensure safe and appropriate provision of medications to patients.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Rising pharmacy student in an accredited college of pharmacy. Proficiency in reading, writing and mathematics are required.
One year previous work experience in a healthcare related field (pharmacy preferred) is preferred. Knowledge of medical/pharmaceutical terminology and generics is preferred.
Good organizational skills and the ability to learn and use computer systems are required.
