Qualifications:
Internal candidates only (Sharp Healthcare employees)
Completion of two (2) year Associates degree in PTA Program required
Physical Therapy Assistant Licensure required
Experienced in Acute Physical Therapy Department preferred
Excellent communication skills, problem-solving abilities, self-motivated and have an attentive to details required
Works well with a team required
Knowledge of necessary guarding techniques for fall prevention and facilitation techniques with impaired mobility and locomotion for all levels of physical assist required
Summary:
Under the direction of a physical therapist, provides physical therapy care to patients with impaired functional mobility as a result of neuromuscular, musculoskeletal, and/or cardiopulmonary involvement or injury.
