Northwest Texas Healthcare System is a 390-bed
acute care and 85 bed behavioral health medical center serving the
city of Amarillo and the surrounding region. We offer the ideal
combination of traditional values and the most advanced technologies
in healthcare, plus the conveniences of big city living in a
friendly, smaller-town atmosphere. From the beauty of Palo Duro
Canyon and great recreational facilities, to our quality educational
system, Amarillo is a great place to live and work.
The Physical Therapist functions under the
direct supervision of the coordinator of physical therapy. The staff
therapist assumes responsibility and accountability for a designated
group of patients and provides physical therapy evaluations,
modalities and treatments in accordance with established hospital and
departmental policies and procedures, maintaining the highest degree
of quality patient care. They also assume the responsibility and
accountability of the care of their patients who are being treated by
physical therapist assistants.

ideas, and why staff are always responsive to their colleagues'
specialist needs and input. Flexibility brings more cohesion, greater
job satisfaction and the best possible outcomes. We have the only
trauma center in the area, so you will be facing the widest variety
of injuries that require therapy. You'll be providing care to
patients of all ages and you'll welcome more responsibility and
