  • atholic Health): The Float Physical Therapist position performs physical therapist duties in multiple locations throughout the Catholic Health (CH) continuum, including the acute, Medical Rehabilitation Unit (MRU), long term care sub-acute, and outpatient settings. Unit and/or site assignment as organizational need dictates. Float Physical Therapist provides rehabilitation according to state licensure. Organizes and conducts treatment programs to restore and prevent loss of function following disease, injury and/ or disability.

    REPORTS TO: Matrix reporting relationship to: Float Manager, Rehab for scheduling and unit/site assignment; and Site Manager, Rehabilitation Services.

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Physical Therapy Assistants, Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants, Rehabilitation Aides, Students, Volunteers.

    SKILL AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS (MINIMUM)

    Education
    ·
    As per professional degree from an accredited program by the NYS Department of Education.
    · Registered and licensed by NYS Department of Education, or eligible.
    Experience
    ·
    Minimum two (2) years clinical experience required.
    · Clinical experience in two (2) levels of care required.
    Knowledge, Skill and Ability
    ·
    Ability to quickly acclimate to multiple work site environments and locations.
