The Physical Therapy Assistant functions as a member of the healthcare team. The purpose is to provide medically prescribed physical therapy programs in accordance with national standards and administrative policies of the hospital. The goal is to restore function and prevent disability following disease, injury, surgery or loss of a body part in order to allow the patient to perform to his/her maximum ability.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:
Education: Minimum education required is an Associate's Degree in Physical Therapy

Knowledge/Professional Licensure/Registration/Certifications: Current State professional license and current BLS required. Good interpersonal, organizational and leadership skills and the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing required.

Experience: One year hospital/acute care experience preferred

Must be available to work weekends.
