Summary of Duties
The Physical Therapy Assistant is accountable for
assisting the Physical Therapist in their duties of
patient care and documentation of such care.
HIRING COMPETENCIES - skills & experiences the applicant
should bring to the job.
a) License: Current Physical Therapist Assistant license
in the state of Oregon. Valid Healthcare provider CPR
preferred upon hire, and required within 6 months of
b) Current Oregon Drivers license and at least 4 years
of holding a driver’s license.
c) No more than 1 accident or moving violation on or off
the job within the past 12 months and no conviction for
driving under the influence of intoxicants (DUII) within
the past 5 years.
d) Current automobile accident insurance with coverage
limits of $100,000/$300,000/$100,000 or combined
$300,000 limits and name Tuality Healthcare as the
e) One year experience in home health or other health
setting with geriatric emphasis preferred.
f) Possess knowledge and skills through experience
and/or training to be able to provide care appropriate
to the age of patients served in the job.
g) Knowledge of physical therapy assessment and
treatment methods required.
h) Knowledge of physical therapy modalities and
i) Maintains effective relations with other health care
j) Possess good communication skills
