Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant Program. Current licensure by the California Physician Assistant Board, Certified preferred. Current AHA CPR for Healthcare Provider or Professional certification required. ACLS preferred. Recent/previous work experience in primary health care setting preferred.
Under the direction of Supervising Physician, the Physician Assistant takes appropriate history, records and presents data. Performs or assists in performance and evaluates situation relative to appropriate treatment to be administered. Instructs and counsels patients. Administers medication, incorporate infection control principles, demonstrates skills related to management of emergency situations.
Under the written direction of Physician, the PA provides medical services consistent with education, training and experience.
