Piping/Plumbing/Fire Protection Engineer

Our San Francisco, office is looking for a Piping/Plumbing Engineer .

Our Piping/Plumbing Engineer position offers you the opportunity to lead the overall piping/plumbing engineering design process. You will represent AEI to the client team and identify project requirements and user needs, coordinate and collaborate with architects and other consultants, develop engineering concepts and recommendations, present options and recommendations to our clients, and lead the internal AEI team in project implementation.

The depth of our client base and our strong relationships, coupled with a diverse resume of design experience, has allowed Affiliated Engineers to share its engineering expertise on projects with significant sustainable and energy-efficient solutions. You can have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects or specialize in an area of expertise.

Position requires an individual with the ability to work on projects from the concept stage through construction and 5+ years experience

BSAE/BSME, P.E. and/or C.P.D., and LEED accreditation preferred.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills required, including the ability to work well independently and in a team environment. Must communicate well with clients and with individuals at all levels in the organization. Position will include workload planning and delegation, reviewing submittals, and answering RFI’s. Assist with marketing efforts and opportunity to mentor others. Strong understanding of applicable design codes, design standards, and specification requirements, and the ability to interpret them.
