The Supply Chain Planner-Buyer is a key role within our strategic plan for Moog Decatur. An enthusiastic self starter with strong drive to improve existing processes and systems is highly desired. Excellent organizational skills, ability to balance immediate and long term priorities and exceptional multitasking skills are a must. Key objectives will be achieving or exceeding targeted customer on time deliveries, cost reductions, and managing supply and demand within the organization. Responsibilities Include: Ù Plan and execute procurement of finished goods and raw material from suppliers and manufacturers Ù Maintain strong working relationships and communicate directly with Planning and Operations Department Ù Proactively report product and material availability issues Ù Maintain files and records of material, pricing, order status, and update information in ERP System Ù Complete special projects and assignments as requested Ù Establish strategies to improve supply chain, and strengthen supplier relationships Ù Responsible for optimizing material costs through vendor analysis, quality, schedule, cost evaluation, etc. Applies cost effective measures as related to support standard cost and make/buy decisions Requirements: Ù 4-6 years of Supply Chain experience Ù Knowledge and understanding of Supply Chain concepts and application Ù Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ù ERP experience a plus

Ù Self starter with ability to work independently under pressure and react quickly to changing priorities Ù Knowledge of Materials management, Supply chain, Inventory, Import/export Ù Understanding of Manufacturing processes and procedures Ù Strong analytical and computer skills (Excel, Access, MS Project, etc) are required
