As a member of this team, you would contribute to CDM Smith's mission by:
-Working on challenging city/regional transportation planning projects.
-Coordinating the collection of project data for various Transportation clients.
-Performing necessary project research.
-Devising new approaches to problems encountered.
-Independently planning, scheduling, conducting, or coordinating detailed phases of work in a part of a major project or in a total project of moderate scope.
-Establishing and defining project objectives.
-Assuming a certain degree of project management responsibility
-Assisting in the development of planning strategy and recommendations.
-Providing planning expertise when requested to project teams.
-Initiating and performing assigned project administration duties (monitoring budget and schedule, preparing correspondence, and participating in general office duties).
A successful CDM Smith candidate will have:
-5 - 7 years previous experience (since Bachelor's).
-Prior city/regional transportation planning experience required. Transit planning experience preferred.
-Bachelor's degree in arts, planning, engineering, or a science required.
-Master's degree in planning, engineering, science, or environmental management preferred.
-A.I.C.P. Certification, Certification in a related field, and/or Master's degree in a related field (where Certification is not applicable) is desired.
