To assist the Softlines Manager in overseeing and performing in all operational aspects of the stores.
§ Responsible for merchandise presentation and signage standards for both the Softlines and Hardlines areas of the store, with special emphasis being placed on the Softlines areas.
§ Assists in floor moves, merchandising, plan-o-gram sets, display maintenance and resets, pricing, inventory, and store recovery
§ Assists in processing and replenishing merchandise on the sales floor by participating in receiving, tagging, and monitoring sales floor stock.
§ Keeps current with product information, merchandise promotions, test merchandise, and advertised merchandise.
§ Provides outstanding service by greeting and acknowledging every customer, maintaining sales standards, and maintaining solid product knowledge.
§ Is WISE certified (via the Learn Center ), actively promotes and exhibits expertise in WISE selling techniques and supports and executes WISE mentoring initiatives and programs.
§ Assists in the markdown/price change processes.
§ Assists in the processing of transfers, RTVs and claims.
§ Communicates inventory needs to management.
§ Assists with running the cash registers as needed.
§ Adheres to approved loss prevention programs to minimize inventory shrinkage and to support and grow the sales/profitability of the store. Provides feedback to manager on loss prevention issues as needed.
§ Any other task as assigned by management.
Specialized Skill Required
§ Advanced golf skills and/or product knowledge not required
§ Prior experience with merchandising and sales
§ Service and sales oriented with high motivation.
§ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
§ Ability to read, count, and write to accurately complete all necessary documentation.
§ Ability to work under supervision and get along with coworkers.
§ Available to work varied hours/days, as business needs dictate.
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years of related retail or stockroom experience
