Patrols building and grounds for hazard surveillance, loss prevention, and safety and security of staff, patients, visitors, and property.
E2. Monitors and utilizes surveillance systems for loss prevention and safety.
E3. Warns violators of infractions of hospital policy or law.
E4. Apprehends or expels persons engaging in suspicious, violent or criminal acts.
E5. Participates in Life Safety Management and Emergency Preparedness Programs.
E6. Participates in the Security Department Performance Improvement Program.
E7. Intervenes in violent or disruptive situations.
E8. Demonstrates respectful and caring attitude through verbal and non-verbal behavior.
E9. Advises management and affected departments of special conditions.
E10. Attends meetings or inservices as required.
E11. Documents activities and incidents per established policies and procedures.
E12. Responds to calls for service from other departments or supervisor.
E13. Enforces MMC policies and procedures as off-duty Police Officers.
Adheres to and complies with HCA's ethics and compliance policies in the Code of Conduct.
Attends annual training sessions as mandates.
Minimum of one (1) year experience as a Texas Peace Officer.
Must have completed TECLEOSE Peace Officer training.
Must have Basic Texas Peace Officer certification.
Must have Texas Peace Officer license through individual Law Enforcement Entity.
