Responsible for the delivery of patient care that promotes safety and well-being of all patients throughout the organization in the assigned department.
Responsible for the delivery of patient care through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosing, planning, implementation and evaluation.
Responsible for directing and coordinating all nursing care for the IMCU/Medical Telemetry based on established clinical nursing practice standards.
Collaborates with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes.
Supports the organization vision and mission.
Has an understanding of Porter's HIPAA policies and procedures and uses this knowledge to practice in a manner that maintains the confidentiality of protected health information in compliance with HIPAA.
Understands the importance of patient safety and actively participates in safe practices.
Knows and participates as appropriate in Porter's Corporate Compliance program.
Graduate of accredited School of Nursing. [Diploma Required]
Certifications / Licenses:
Current Indiana state Nurse license
Maintain Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) Certification
ACLS Certification (upon hire or within 6 months of employment)
EKG interpretation experience and 1 year telemetry experience (preferred)
