The position will drive the execution of Kroger’s Program Management Office (PMO) resource management governance processes and procedures and mentor process stakeholders to ensure quality, efficiency and maximize probability of success.
Essential Job Functions:
Maintain and enhance resource management governance processes by considering company-wide implications of decisions and recommendations.
Develop, maintain and act as a change agent for the implementation of resource management best-practice policies, procedures and templates that enable the organization to effectively and proactively manage resources to meet current and future customer demand.
Develop resource management training/supporting materials and deliver training to Project Managers and Functional Managers; both formal and informal learning events.
Communicate and champion resource and portfolio processes throughout the enterprise; build consensus among sophisticated decision makers.
Guide the use of Kroger’s resource management and portfolio related methodologies.
Ensure the resource management processes support the PMO processes and needs of the organization.
Maintain and evaluate effective project performance and financial metrics including performing project auditing.
Provide mentorship to Functional Managers and Project Managers on resource management practices and standards. Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation

Minimum Position Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in IS or related equivalent work experience in an Information Systems position.
Extensive experience with resource management and portfolio management best practices.
5 or more years of experience in a senior project management or business analyst capacity for a variety of sizes and types of projects and multi-project programs within the context of an operational PMO.
Knowledge of resource management and portfolio management industry best practices and direction of PMI including the use of PMBOK.
Demonstrated leadership capability and ability to influence others without formal authority.
Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively communicate information to customers and to all levels within the organization.
Demonstrated problem detection and resolution/analytical skills.
Demonstrated ability to prepare and interpret qualitative and quantitative project data.
Passing score on a selected entry test for new hires. (Test selected based on project requirements.)
Desired Previous Job Experience
Functional Experience using Clarity Resource Management and Portfolio Management modules strongly preferred
PMP or equivalent certification.
IIBA or equivalent certification.
Working knowledge of Business Objects
Fluent in Microsoft Excel
