Job Description
This postdoctoral position requires a highly motivated, adaptable, and capable individual with a PhD degree preferably in biochemistry or analytical chemistry. The research involves identifying and refining nano-scale biological sample preparation techniques for fully automated integration with nanoflow uHPLC systems.

The goal of this research is to provide opportunities for exceptional sensitivity and dynamic range in the study of proteomes, metabolome, etc. from a potentially wide range of biological sources.

These integrated sample preparation techniques will be coupled with a diverse range of PNNL developed interfaces to cutting-edge mass spectrometers to provide in-depth, reproducible analyses from limited sample specimens. Candidates must possess significant experience in biological sample preparation and be knowledgeable in the application of mass spectrometry to be successful in this position.

Experience with nanoflow-LC and bottom-up proteomic data analysis is a plus.

The successful candidate will be expected to work effectively with an interdisciplinary team of researchers, be self-motivated, and have excellent communication skills.

The successful candidate is expected to contribute to and/or lead the preparation and presentation of peer-reviewed manuscripts, posters, reports, etc, depending on the nature of the opportunity.
