Post doctoral Position in tumor microenvironment lab
University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill - Chapel Hill, NC
We are seeking a motivated postdoctoral researcher to study mechanisms of tumor neovascularization. We use a variety of transgenic tumor models, in vivo lineage tracing, and freshly isolated tumor-specific endothelial cells to study differentiation and specialization of the tumor vasculature. We are also focused on how other cell types in the tumor microenvironment, including adipocytes and inflammatory cells, contribute to the growth and formation of new tumor blood vessels. The successful applicant must hold a PhD degree in biomedical science with basic training in cellular and molecular biology. Applicants with a strong background in cancer research and the tumor microenvironment are especially encouraged to apply. Salary will be commensurate with level of experience.
