The Powertrain Engineering department, in conjunction with R&D, PEDD, and other groups, works to affect future product design by defining necessary standards and specifications, clearly identify existing and potential market issues and communicate to appropriate Honda organizations for future development, while leading and managing field investigative efforts with manufacturing, vendors and R&D personnel as necessary.
This position will be responsible for identification, in-depth investigation and reporting of product (auto) problems/concerns within the U.S. market; confirmation of appropriate activity for data/info mining and identified market concern issues.
Responsibilities:
Confirm Subject Group activity is appropriate for identified toss issues
Perform analysis on identified toss issues from Model Administrators
Issue repair procedures for resolved issue
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (or related major) and/or work experience equivalent
7 years of experience working within an automobile manufacture’s service /engineering dept. or equivalent
Vehicle evaluation skills with strong emphasis on automotive system knowledge
Engineering diagnostic skills / use of engineering test equipment
Strong problem solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
High proficiency with MS Office (Word,Excel, Powerpoint)
