Summary: Responsible for delivering health care services and treatments to patients of the practice, as delegated by the Physician(s), within the scope of practice of the nurse practitioner, and in accordance with the Collaborative Practice Agreement with LLC and Physician(s). Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission and values.
Principle Accountabilities: % Of Time Spent
1. EHR/Clinical 95%
a. Elicit and record complete and pertinent medical history of patients.
b. Perform and record pertinent physical exam of patients.
c. Order appropriate diagnostic tests for patients.
d. Assess disease states based on history, physical and diagnostic
testing, within NPs scope of practice and consistent with NPs
skills, training, and competence.
e. Initiate or modify nursing or medical regimens and prescribe appropriate pharmaceutical agents, within NPs scope of practice and consistent with NPs skills, training, and competence.
f. Treat and provide follow-up care for patients.
g. Consult with physician(s) in a timely manner, in accordance with the Collaborative Practice Agreement.
h. Record patient data and medical records, as well as nursing assessments and treatment plans in the EHR.
i. Instruct and counsel patients in health care, health maintenance, medical problems, treatment plans, nutrition or related matters as may be appropriate.
j.Dictate office notes (as necessary) in a timely manner.
k.Pursue continuing education programs to maintain proficiency.

Basic computer skills required. Good verbal and documentation skills required.
The assessment, care and treatment provided by the NP will be consistent with the specific age related needs of the patient. The NP is competent to care for patient age groups consistent with the specialties of the physician(s) in the practice.
License to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in the State of Missouri.
If applicable, has been granted a Document of Recognition from the Missouri State Board of Nursing specifying that NP is authorized to engage in a scope of practice of advanced nursing.
Employee is required to sit and walk frequently. Employee must lift/carry a light (1-20 lbs.) load frequently, a medium (21-50 lbs.) and/or heavy (50 lbs. +) load occasionally. Employee may be required to lift over 100 lbs. with assistance. Employee is occasionally required to bend, squat, crawl, kneel, climb, lift waist to overhead. Employee is occasionally required to reach forward and reach overhead. Employee may be required to do simple grasping and pushing/pulling.
