The Presales Engineer will be responsible for expanding Windward's overall service offerings by providing specific technical support in sales opportunities. This specific knowledge will be utilized in supporting sales engagements, developing relationships with key software partners and by supporting and initiating sales activities.
Provide technical knowledge to prospects in the support of Windward Solutions Directors to build a sustainable business around the sale of operational management solutions.
Provide technical pre-sales support around emerging operational management solutions such as IBM, CA, BMC, HP and other tools.
Write the technical scope for statements of work and requests for proposals (RFPs).
Work with Windward delivery team to ensure agree to the scope proposed prior to client submission.
Develop technical collateral (architecture diagrams, integration strategies,etc.,) to support sales activities.
Provide superior written and verbal articulation of technical solutions to potential customers.
Develop relationships with key operational management software vendors.
Once a key technology area has been developed, work with service delivery to build a practice around the technology.
Certification(s) on IT operations management products
Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience required
Excellent writing skills demonstrated in technical proposals
Experience delivering presentations and white board presentations to clients
Ability to travel (1-2 day trips) to support pre-sales activity throughout the US
Bachelor of Science degree in Information Systems or related discipline and
Three to Five years directly related experience
