Participate in the architecture, design and development of Greenplum’s next generation storage architecture.
Deliver robust, fault tolerant, production code - this is a hands on coding position.
Interact with members of the Greenplum team to enhance the Unified Analytics Platform vision.
Experience & Skill Set
The ideal candidate will have recent, demonstrated experience delivering robust, reliable linux systems software in mission critical enterprise environments.
Deep, meaningful, recent development experience with most of the following is required;
Complex linux based solutions where transactional consistency is critical
A deep understanding of resilient concurrent programming
Development experience with relational database
Linux systems code development in c/c++
Products deployed in mission critical, enterprise environments
Large distributed file systems in the multi-petabyte range
Optional, but highly desirable skill sets;
Extremely large scale application development
Development experience with hadoop, specifically hbase and hdfs
Cloud computing and storage

This position requires a Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering. Advance degrees preferred.
