We are looking for an Principal Insurance Consultant for our client in NYC NY for a long term engagement.

The candidate should have 15-20 years of professional experience in the insurance industry or in a top-tier consulting firm, with a well-rounded understanding of the US Life and Annuity products and business processes value chain (e.g.: New Business, Policy administration, claims & payouts), industry trends, best practices and overview of regulatory/compliance issues.

A good understanding and background in IT services, operational improvement, global sourcing, and quality management are essential. Knowledge of offshoring is preferred.

Experience at any level in a top-tier consulting / IT services firm (e.g.: McKinsey, BCG, Bain, Booz-Allen Hamilton, Deloitte, Accenture, Monitor, Mercer, IBM GS/PWC, AT Kearney, CGEY, KPMG, etc. or sourcing provider like TPI) is essential.

As a Principle consultant in our insurance industry practice, the candidate must bring in experience, insight, and credibility in the Life Annuity and Pension insurance domain.

Excellent problem solving, communication, and client management skills are essential. This role requires strong leadership skills and demonstrated capabilities of being a thought leader. The candidate must be able to work in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment, and be High on Drive and initiative, Self Confidence.

Should be able to conceptualize, analyse, create blueprint for business transformations and present solutions in the insurance domain.

Roles & Responsibilities

Principle Consultant will be responsible for driving strategic thought leadership, consulting solutions, and technology and business process services at top insurance Life Annuity and Pension clients. He/She will be accountable for:

Conceptualizing, developing and delivering strategic and technical consulting engagements (i.e. business blueprints for Systems rationalization, Legacy modernization, transformations, operational improvement, business process mapping, re-organization strategy, global sourcing strategy, IT application and asset optimization)
Deep experience in LAP business process, products, IT systems and platforms, in particular US Life & Annuity products & processes
Ability to build value propositions & solution ideas around US Annuity administration space covering Fixed & Variable annuities
Should have a minimum experience of 15-20 yrs in the Insurance/IT fields with considerable exposure to US Annuity administration.
Developing strong client relations at senior executive level, developing new business insights, and delivering practical, implementable solutions
Understand the current state IT & business landscape of the clients and define the future road-map for administering life & annuities
Experience in leading Annuity administration packages of North American market is desirable
Integrating solutions from across the company and bring them together in a seamless client experience
Work closely with our large account teams to identify new opportunities that are domain centric
