SBM Offshore is currently recruiting for a Principal Lead Hydrodynamics & Mooring Engineer.

The primary function of this position is to design and analyze various floating structures with a focus on hydrodynamics, global performance, mooring design and analysis, model testing, DP, and stability for FPSOs, Semi-Submersibles, TLPs, MODU, and various floating mooring terminals.

Typical projects include spread-moored or turret moored F(P)SO, Semi-submersible or TLP based FPU, MODU, deep water offloading buoys, various innovative deep water and shallow water mooring/riser concepts including dis-connectable mooring/riser system, and CALM/SALM terminals.

The position requires expert knowledge with discipline engineering principles and procedures, and the ability to apply these to the project. It also requires familiarity with National and International Codes and Standards and Classification Society Rules, as well as working knowledge of normal commercial and marine fabrication materials, procedures, and capabilities.

Experience with some of the following software is required:
AQWA, Orcaflex, ARIANE, WAMIT, MOSES, StabCad, HydroStar, Dynfloat, and WINDOS.

This position requires minimum 10 years related engineering experience with FPSOs, Semi-Submersibles, TLPs, MODU, and mooring terminals.

Minimum Bachelors Degree in Naval Architecture, Ocean Engineering.

Preference will be given to candidates with advanced degrees.
