The Private Client Direct business is a part of the JPMorgan Private Bank that is focused on servicing the banking and investment needs of high net worth clients who are currently maintaining smaller balances with the firm. The business’ primary goal is to grow total client positions of clients with a net worth of $1-5 million as these emerging clients represent a key area of focus to drive growth within the Private Bank.
The Investor is responsible for deepening and strengthening existing relationships by presenting and identifying new client acquisition opportunities.
In addition, the Investor acts as the primary relationship manager and maintains broad knowledge of banking, trust services, and financial planning in order to provide cross-balance sheet advice to clients.
Conduct investment reviews with prospects and clients to determine or validate current investment objectives and prepare recommendations of appropriate investment products
Develop investment policy statements, advise on asset allocation and manage clients’ investment portfolio
Maintain current knowledge of all J.P. Morgan Private Bank products and strategies
Responsible for engaging in business development (to include prospecting, development of external and internal referral sources, use of personal and professional contacts) to deliver results
Initiate and close sales of complex investment products
Build and maintain excellent working relationships with internal partners and teammates
Adhere to internal and external policies and procedures regarding securities transactions and code of conduct
This position is subject to the Dodd Frank/Truth in Lending Act qualification requirements for Loan Originators. As such, an employment offer for this position is contingent on JPMC’s review of your criminal conviction history, credit report, information available through NMLS, and any other information relevant to a determination by JPMC that you demonstrate financial responsibility, good character, and general fitness for the position. Extensive experience with and in-depth knowledge of fixed income, structured notes,
equities and alternatives
Experience managing discretionary and brokerage relationships
Conduct operations within FINRA and other regulatory agency guidelines and requirements
Ability to communicate sophisticated investment strategies to all levels of clients and prospects
Sales experience including: profiling, overcoming objections, negotiation, team selling approach, closing the sale and asking for referrals
Demonstrated understanding of wealth management including, but not limited to: credit, deposits, trusts and financial planning
Ability to work in a team based environment and assist in the development and retention of junior team members
Seven plus years experience in Private Banking or Financial Services industry
Bachelors degree required; MBA, CFA, or CFP preferred
Prior experience providing complex investment solutions to affluent or high net worth individuals and/or families
Series 7 & 63 licenses required for position; however, unlicensed candidates considered but required to obtain licenses within 90 days of start date
