BFOQ: Male. Bachelor's degree in criminal justice, psychology or related field and two years of experience in human services field; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Knowledge of judicial system, field of corrections and criminology; working skill in caseload management; developing/implementing alternative treatment methods; good oral/written communication, interpersonal and public relations skills necessary. Basic PC skills; experience with casework and group work desired. Knowledge of and experience with Evidence Based Practices; including risk assessment, case planning and effective communication strategies. Knowledge of and experience working with domestic violence, substance abuse, mental health and various forms of household abuse. Good driving record required. Must not reflect a total accumulation of six or more negative points within the past three years or a major violation within the past four years. Pre-employment drug testing and FBI criminal background check required.

Duties:

Provide local probation and pretrial services to adults; interview/supervise offenders and defendants to assist the court; case planning; verify information and make written and oral reports to the court. Perform other work as required.

Shift:

Monday - Friday; 8:30a.m. - 5:00p.m.; includes some evenings and weekends
