Provides day-to-day supervision and training to staff under the direction of the Chief or Deputy Chief Probation Officer. Assigns cases and investigations. Prepares Employee Work Profiles and evaluates employee work performance formally and informally on an ongoing basis. Reviews Officer's Casework and Pre-sentence reports. Assists Chief and Deputy Chief Probation Officer in carrying out administrative functions. Acts as Unit Manager in the absence of the Chief or Deputy Chief Probation Officer.

Minimum Qualifications
Valid operator's license. Considerable experience providing direct delivery of human services, individual counseling/casework with adults. Considerable experience working in a probation and parole facility. Considerable experience working with administrative and management staff. Experience writing/presenting reports to official or administrative entities. Considerable experience interviewing for the purpose of gathering information. Experience planning and directing projects.

Preferred Qualifications
Prefer graduation from an accredited college or university with major course work in Rehabilitation Counseling, Psychology, Sociology/Social Work, Criminal Justice, English with Minor in other areas, such as Adult Education, Business Administration, and Administration of Justice, Public Safety, a related field or equivalent applicable experience and/or training.

Prefer considerable evidence based practice experience as it relates to probation and parole supervision.
