Examples of Work:
This is an entry-level position. Work involves writing presentence/predisposition reports and/or supervising clients placed on probation, as well as conducting juvenile intake interviews, which would require extensive weekend and holiday hours.
Qualifications / Requirements:
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelors degree in the social sciences, criminal justice or related fields.
OTHER: Bilingual skills in English and Spanish.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Ability to write the required reports, case plans, chronological notes; ability to communicate with clients, judges, school personnel, law enforcement, families; ability to read and interpret police reports, mental health evaluations, chemical evaluations; ability to maintain workload of writing reports and supervising clients; appear in court; ability to motivate clients toward self-improvement.
