This position provides corporate wide technical leadership to ensure effective application of process automation and advanced control technologies too safely and cost effectively achieve company objectives for production rates, efficiency and quality.
Identify, champion and implement control improvements that enable significant cost improvement or incremental production by conducting process analysis studies on complex chemical processes.
Identify and solve process control problems by utilizing process analysis, process control technology and dynamic simulation skills.
Mentor other Process Control Engineers, especially at manufacturing sites.
Maintain awareness of and ability to identify potential value of emerging process control/automation technologies in manufacturing process units.
Master's in Process Control, Advanced Process Control or Chem Engr
Ability to work within a corporate team to provide global support to sustain the benefits of existing APC (DMCPlus) applications.
Ability to identify and solve process control problems by utilizing process analysis and process control skills.
Under mentorship, develop control strategies (regulatory or advanced) to effectively attain and sustain identified process improvements.
Team player with strong interpersonal and effective written / spoken communication skills.
Good computer skills and interest in programming.
Ability to travel to manufacturing sites globally, 20-30% travel required.
Experience with Aspen DMCPlus
PhD in Process Control, Advanced Process Control or Chem Engr
Experience with Aspen RTO
Process or Production Engineering experience at manufacturing site
Experience with Honeywell TPS & Experion control systems
Experience with Emerson Delta V control systems
