Job Responsibilities:
Primary Functions:
oResponsibility for development, maintenance, troubleshooting and overall reliability of plant’s automated process control systems along with electrical and instrumentation systems. Will also indirectly provide work direction to Instrument/Electrical technicians.
oResponsible for routine engineering assignments involving basic engineering techniques & continuous improvement activities.

Qualifications:
o4-year college graduate (Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical) engineering
oKnowledge of PLC programming, plant process, and electrical background.
o1-5 years plant engineering experience, preferably in a petro-chemical environment.
oTPM, Lean or Six-Sigma experienced is required.
oExcellent computer systems skills (Visio, Autocad, MS office Suite, etc).

Duties & Responsibilities:
oDevelops, maintains, trouble shoots plant’s automated process control systems. Oversee all process changes made to computer control system.
oPlanning and coordinating plant electrical and instrumentation projects from conceptional design to completion.
oMaintains, trouble shoots, and repairs all electrical, electronic, and pneumatic equipment in the plant.
oResponsible for electrical operations and provide guidance as required to maintain an efficient and safe operating plant.
oPerforms routine and complex causal/root cause analysis of equipment failures. Coordinates corrective action recommendations and plans with plant management personnel.
oPlanning and coordination of other plant engineering projects as assigned.
oIndirect supervision of electrical/instrumentation department. Responsible for the training and technical development of I/E Technicians. Responsible for coordination of instrumentation and electrical activities with production personnel.
oDrive continuous improvement activities within the companywide World Class Manufacturing program.
