Kennedy/Jenks Consultants is currently seeking an energetic, well-connected Process Mechanical Engineer for our Federal Way office. You will have the opportunity to work closely with the industry's best engineers and scientists to plan and complete major industrial projects for clients throughout the Western United States.

What you’ll do: You will be involved in projects from initial planning stages, through design and to construction completion. Your responsibilities will include the design of industrial mechanical systems and preparation of construction plans and specifications, coordinating work with other disciplines, managing task schedules/budgets, and coordinating activities related to both design and construction. This position reports directly to the Federal Way Industrial Group Leader and also works collaboratively with other offices within the firm. Some travel will be necessary to support ongoing engineering projects.

What you’ll need: The successful candidate will have strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to work with subcontractors; and experience in construction. A BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering (or similar, with experience demonstrated that is applicable to the requirements herein) and professional registration is required. Bring your professional familiarity with the aerospace industry, chemical production, and industrial design; prior project management experience; and a keen ability to develop and motivate teams and move projects forward to completion and join our dynamic group of engineers and scientists. Strong design skills are required, and AutoCAD and prior consulting experiences are plusses.
